The renewal of the messaging module represents a significant improvement in how communications are managed within the platform. This redesign not only enhances the visual appearance, but also optimizes daily processes, allowing simpler, more intuitive and efficient navigation for all users.
Benefits
One of the main benefits is the integration of all key functions —Compose, Inbox, Sent, Deleted and Drafts— into a single centralized menu. This organization reduces navigation time and allows quick access to each tool without interrupting the workflow.
In addition, access from Profile > Messaging brings together the main tabs in one place, including Archived and Bulletin Board, making it easier to review information even when the content is extensive.
- The new design incorporates strategic shortcuts such as composing messages, directory access, inbox refresh and notification settings. These features allow users to adjust sending preferences, manage alerts and personalize signatures or automatic replies, contributing to a more organized and professional communication.
Additionally, the visibility of each option depends on the enabled permissions, giving each school full control over the functionalities available to its users.
- The inclusion of a search tool with advanced filters allows users to locate messages by subject, content, sender or date range. This capability significantly reduces the time spent reviewing long conversations and improves information traceability. It also includes filtering by message type and the ability to view read or unread messages.
- Labels are displayed indicating whether the sender is a staff member, family member or student.
Replies are organized into threads to easily follow the conversation. You can share, forward, or reply to all from the same message. When there are multiple response threads, upon opening the detailed view, the most recent reply thread will be expanded and focused, while the others will remain collapsed for better traceability.
In the sent mailbox, you can see in detail how many users received the message and who has read it. Styled labels have been incorporated for better clarity, making it easy to identify when messages were scheduled or had an expiration date.
For form-type messages, the system displays detailed metrics such as response charts, participation percentages, and read statuses, providing valuable information to support decision-making
- The module incorporates advanced options such as editing the message body, printing, forwarding, or deleting content. It also includes tools such as Consolidated View and Rebuild Data, which allow dynamic audiences to be updated and keep information consistently aligned with user changes. Although some actions, such as deleting sent messages, are irreversible, this approach reinforces security and clarity in information management.
These improvements transform the messaging module into a more efficient, organized, and adaptable tool that meets the needs of each institution. The combination of centralized navigation, smart filters, clear visualization, and administrative control strengthens internal communication and facilitates users’ daily work.
